Shoes will not be easy to fill

It’s a time of change at our Newark office. After many years of providing legal services to clients in Newark and the surrounding area David Hollingworth retired on the 30th March. David was partner with the well known Newark firm Neville Denham & Co. Following the merger of Andrew & Co and Neville Denham in October 2007, David continued to work from the office located in Kirkgate, Newark and has seen the Firm go from strength to strength. He now feels the time is right to retire and enjoy the delights of Norfolk where he and his wife Julia have now made their home.
“We are, of course, sorry to see David leave the Firm” said Philip Armitage who has worked alongside David at the Kirkgate office since he joined the Firm in February 2008. “David has long been a respected member of the Newark community and he will be greatly missed. He has made a huge contribution to the success of Andrew & Co since joining us in October 2007. We all wish him a very long and happy retirement”.
David’s shoes will not be easy to fill but we are delighted to announce the appointment of Julia Lock, who specialises in Commercial Property matters, and the relocation of Anita Hamer from our Lincoln office. Julia joined the Firm as an Associate Solicitor earlier this year. Anita joined the Firm as a Conveyancing Paralegal but as a result of her continued studies and experience joins the team at the Newark office to head up the Residential Conveyancing team there which also enjoys the benefit of retaining Sue Stephenson who has worked alongside David for more than 20 years.
“We are extremely lucky that Anita and Julia have joined us in Newark. They are both great assets to us and will, I’m sure, provide an excellent service to all of David’s clients. These are truly exciting times for our business in Newark and I look forward to future growth and a very bright future”
