Talented Trio Promoted To Associates at Andrew & Co
Three solicitors at Andrew & Co LLP, with a combined 42 years of experience in the legal profession, have been made Associates.
The three specialists celebrating their promotions from Solicitors to Associates are family lawyer Sue Leadbeater, Residential Property Team Leader Jo Sworder and commercial lawyer Helen Bell, who heads up Andrew & Co LLP’s award-winning Energy & Renewables team.
Partner at Andrew & Co LLP Julie Bailey congratulated the trio: “ I am very pleased for Sue, Jo and Helen; they have each specialised in different areas of law since joining the firm, but what unites them is that in each case, their appointment is very well deserved.
“With currently only three Associates at Andrew & Co this is a great achievement for both the firm and the three individuals. The next step on the career ladder for the driven trio would be Partners.
“Talent is the engine of future growth at Andrew & Co and we have an active commitment to learning and development. We are always keen to enhance critical thinking and innovation and encourage our staff to challenge the status quo to find better ways of doing things.
“This is evidenced by our recent award win. Earlier this month we were presented with ‘Best Innovation’ at the LawNet Awards 2014 in recognition of our clear, forward-thinking approach to strategic planning and recent achievements working in the renewable energy sector.”
Sue Leadbeater, who is based at the firm’s Newark office, has worked in family law for over 20 years.
“As a specially trained collaborative lawyer I can help couples going through a divorce work things out face to face without having to go to court, which can save them a lot of stress and heartache,” explained Sue.
“I am also a member of Resolution and became an Accredited Specialist in 2002 in the areas of private Children Law and Domestic Abuse.
“I really enjoy my work as I feel like I’m making a real difference to people’s lives. I’ve worked hard to establish a presence in Newark and develop relationships with local people. It’s always nice to have your efforts recognised which is why I’m so pleased to have been promoted to Associate.
Jo Sworder, who joined Andrew & Co LLP in 2012 as Residential Property Team Leader, added: “I have specialised in residential property for most of my career and I am proud to be heading up a team that has achieved Conveyancing Quality Scheme accreditation.
“I’m also very proud to have been made an Associate at Andrew & Co which is committed to providing extremely high standards of customer service to its clients.”
The newest addition to the Andrew & Co team, Helen Bell, joined the firm in October 2013 and has a commercial and scientific background.
“I am delighted about my promotion within the firm and the additional responsibility that comes with it,” said Helen.
“Owing to the firm’s commitment to excellence and exceptional client service, Andrew & Co LLP is the natural local leader in the provision of legal services and I look forward to making a significant contribution to its continuing success.”
