Partner and Head of Wills & Estate Planning at Andrew & Co Solicitors Helen Newson writes...
I joined Andrew & Co LLP in April 2006. Originally working as a secretary in both the conveyancing and Wills and probate departments, I moved permanently to the Private Client department in 2008.
I became a paralegal in 2011 and I work mainly on small estates and assisting the Partners in the Private Client department on larger estates. I also prepare and register Lasting Powers of Attorney and deal with applications to the Court of Protection for Deputyship Orders.
I am a member of the social committee for the firm, organising various events and fundraising for our charity of the year, including quiz nights and bake days. Having worked for Andrew & Co LLP for some 13 years I have seen changes within the firm, all positive, and with the best of interest of each and every client at the forefront of the changes.
In my spare time, besides spending time with my family and friends, I enjoy vegetable gardening and cooking with the resulting crops. I also have a keen interest in RAF aircraft and their history.
