Nottingham Fire Safety Business Snapped up by Global Manufacturer

  • Posted

Global design and world-class detection products manufacturer FFE has acquired Nottingham fire compliance and software company, LAN Control Systems Ltd (LCS).

Led by Adam Welton, LCS will work collaboratively with the Hitchin-based firm to accelerate the growth of its business. The deal will also enable FFE to strengthen its position in the fire safety, innovation and compliance field.

Paul Simpson from Andrew & Co Solicitors in Lincoln and Newark advised Adam, who founded LCS in 2008.

Paul said: "It was my pleasure to work with Adam on this matter. Although we work with a lot of large corporate companies, we also work with sole traders and SMEs and it’s very rewarding to be able to support small companies like LCS on their road to success.

“This is an important next step for the firm and I would like to wish Adam and the team all the best for the future.”

Adam added: "Paul guided me through the transaction that works well for all of the parties. This is an exciting new chapter for LCS."

LCS provides an innovative cloud-based system, Nimbus, to monitor fire systems and to enable facility managers and maintenance companies to manage compliance. The software eliminates the need to manually monitor the systems, giving facilities managers control wherever they are.

Users can access Nimbus through any desktop or mobile internet connection.

FFE is an industry-leading fire and smoke detection business which designs and manufactures some of the world’s fastest flame detectors for use in the aviation, automotive, education, waste and leisure industries including the Talentum® which can detect a flicker within 27 milliseconds.
