I left school aged 15 in 1971. I had been taught shorthand typing in my last 2 years in school and was therefore qualified and lucky enough to find a full time opportunity in this area of work.
In around 1985 I became an operator with BT, 192, 000 and 999 calls.
In 1997 I moved to Cargill PLC where I worked for 19 years, firstly as a receptionist, then Facilities Co-ordinators and finally Office Service Manager. Whilst in the latter role I played a major role within the fire committee. I was the chairperson of the Sports & Social Committee, Health and Safety representative, involved in writing Comprehensive Crisis Management and Business Continuity Plans and managed the security plans.
I was made redundant in 2016.
I then worked briefly for a Doctors surgery as a receptionist.
My career history has all been based around customer service. I am flexible in my approach to work, dependable, conscientious and capable of prioritising my workload. I love meeting people and enjoy helping wherever I can.
I enjoy working with Andrew & Co as this gives me the ability to work in a professional and friendly atmosphere, which I had become accustomed to in my previous roles. I enjoy working on reception at the Lincoln office as I get to meet all visitors and help them in the first stages of their contact with the firm.
I love football (Liverpool fan for many years) reading and most of all spending time with my husband, children and grandchildren.
