Having qualified as a solicitor in 1996, I worked for various firms in Nottinghamshire, predominantly undertaking family law work, before joining Andrew & Co in November 2018. Andrew & Co's professional reputation, together with their primary focus on achieving the right outcomes for their clients, attracted me to the firm.
During my career, I have been a member of the Law Society's Family Panel and Advanced Family Law Panel, specialising in financial matters arising in family cases. For most of my career I have also been a member and supporter of the principles set out by 'Resolution' and favour a constructive, practical, calm but clear approach to helping families and individuals resolve their differences.
My training as a mediator and experience as a Family Law Reviewer for the Legal Services Commission has given me valuable insight into the differing issues that cause conflict in family cases and the means to help clients resolve them.
Throughout my career I have dealt with every aspect of family law including cases involving teachers, armed forces and police pensions, property and family businesses. I enjoy problem solving and finding a solution that is specifically tailored to you and your family's individual needs.
I studied initially with the institute of Legal Executives (now the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives), Nottingham Trent University and latterly with Buckingham University.
Outside of work I enjoy gardening, pilates, open water swimming, art, reading and travel.
